Welcome to Builders Club of the Illinois-Eastern Iowa District of Kiwanis. Builders Club is the largest service organization for middle school and junior high students, with more than 45,000 members worldwide. In the Illinois-Eastern Iowa District we are lucky to have 60 active clubs with 1,366 Members!!!!! Included here are links to resources for advisors and those looking to start a club. At the June 18th Mega meeting in Davenport, Ken Whitmore summarized the history of the I-I District Kiwanis Neuroscience Research Foundation (KNRF) and the resulting accomplishments. He,also, .described the associated special KNRF awards.
The guest speaker was Dr. Daniel Tramel who has received KNRF support for over 40 years. His current research is focused on developing a remote neurophysiological assessment for improving the understanding and management of Alzheimer’s and dementia diseases.
The last guest speaker was Jimmy Moreland, the subject of an assessment. He explained that he volunteered after many episodes of forgetfulness and how he completed the assessment questionnaire. ... See MoreSee Less
