On July 17th, the Kiwanis Club of Sycamore celebrated its 75th anniversary and was joined by members of several other clubs and the Sycamore Rotary Club. On July 7, the Sycamore Club held its annual summer picnic and a business meeting. President Steph Forsberg welcomed the members and visitors from other clubs.

Gov. Mary Zeronas summarized some areas of district emphasis and encouraged folks to participate in the annual District Convention (July 31-August 2) in Springfield. Training will once again be offered which includes treasurer sessions on documentation and proper filing of government forms. In addition, President and Secretary trainings have been scheduled.She also explained the ongoing district-wide blood drive at which convention goers may donate blood on the third floor of the Crown Plaza Hotel.
